Humanitarian worker Dr Unni Krishnan is the Director of Save the Children’s Emergency Health Unit. Unni has been on the frontline for over two decades, working in and on humanitarian, development and health issues to assist people faced with inexplicable threats and hostile forces. Unni has also spent time in board-rooms and headquarters of civil society organisations, corridors of government offices and media influencing policies and in academic institutions.
A trained physician, Unni is of the belief that his skills have come not only from formal training, but equally from ordinary people and children during work experiences gained in over 40 countries, many of these in hostile settings.
