Linny is an Infectious Diseases and General Paediatrics trainee doctor at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Linny is also the Founder and Chair of The Water Well Project (www.thewaterwellproject.org), a not-for-profit organisation which provides health education to refugees and asylum seekers in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. The organisation has delivered over 500 sessions across these three states with the help of over 400 healthcare professional volunteers. The organisation has been recognised as finalists of the Melbourne Awards for contribution to Multiculturalism by a Community Organisation and was a Top Ten finalist for the Impact 100 Melbourne Lord Mayor Charitable Trust fund.
She was the Australian Medical Association’s Doctor in Training of the Year (2017) and has previously received recognition for her contribution to medicine and leadership with a Victorian Premier’s Award for Volunteer Leadership (2016) and was a Victorian Young Australian of the Year finalist (2013).
