Professor Christopher Bain is an experienced clinician and health IMT practitioner with a unique set of qualifications, and a unique exposure to broad aspects of the healthcare system in Australia over a 27 year period. He has extensive experience in designing, leading and running operational IMT functions in healthcare organisations and his main interests are in the usability of technology in healthcare, data and analytics, software and system evaluation, technology ecosystems and the governance of IT and data.
In November 2017, he took up a role as the inaugural Professor of Digital Health at Monash University. An active researcher and supervisor of post graduate students, Chris is the co-founder of HealthTech UX, a not for profit organization dedicated to understanding and improving the user experience of all users of software driven technology in healthcare – for patients, consumers, carers and healthcare professionals alike.
