Bebe Loff has been a member of the Monash University Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine based at the Alfred Hospital in Prahran since 1997 and taught for the Department since 1994. She is currently the Director of the Michael Kirby Centre for Public Health and Human Rights. Her research background is in human rights, law and ethics. She is Co-chief investigator in two NIH funded projects in India and in Myanmar. She is also co-chief investigator in a project piloting an innovative response for survivor-victims of sexual violence.
Prior to joining Monash University, she was responsible for the legislative programs of Ministers of Health in Victoria. She has worked in various capacities for a number of United Nations agencies including the World Health Organization, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and UNAIDS.
