Although it is registered as a political party, it operates on non-party political lines. The CDP was founded by a group of caring Australian ministers with high ethical values based on the Christian values and ethics.\u00a0 The aim of its members is to promote the common good by endorsing responsible, long-term goals, and not short-term gain.<\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c54cecb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c54cecb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Structure<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0462935 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0462935\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>The Organisational and Parliamentary wings of the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) each have clearly defined and separate roles. In the CDP, the Organisational wing does not dictate policy but rather consults with and advises the Parliamentary wing policy issues.<\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-66c87a55 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"66c87a55\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-small\">Organisational Wing<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46b3e836 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"46b3e836\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>The Organisational wing is based on the Party\u2019s paid membership of supporters with members across Australia. The NSW Head Office is responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2013 The CDP\u2019s Party Platform \u2013 the broad statement of Christian fundamental beliefs<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Pre-selection of the Party\u2019s candidates for elections<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Management and conduct of election campaigns<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 Fundraising<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-66474074 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"66474074\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Parliamentary Wing<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-63de6882 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"63de6882\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>The Parliamentary Wing is made up of Federal and State Parliamentarians. Currently in the NSW Upper House we have Rev. Hon. Fred Nile MLC and Hon Paul Green.<\/p>\n<p>It is responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2013 Representation of electorates held by CDP Members of Parliament<\/li>\n<li>\u2013 CDP policies, strategies and parliamentary priorities guided by the principles contained in the Constitution and CDP Charter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1184093e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1184093e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p class=\"elementor-cta__title elementor-cta__content-item elementor-content-item\"><strong>Advocacy group for families.<\/strong> We believe that the institution of the family is the most important pillar of society. We reject any attempt to redefine or the nature of what is a family, and remain firm supporters of the needs of mothers, fathers and children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementor-cta__title elementor-cta__content-item elementor-content-item\"><strong>Advocacy group for churches.<\/strong> With the legal system beginning to reflect an increasingly secular world, churches have a voice to protect their religious freedoms and their ability to preach openly. Secular political parties cannot make this guarantee, however the Christian Democratic Party can.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementor-cta__title elementor-cta__content-item elementor-content-item\"><strong>Advocacy group for the community.<\/strong> Increasingly our local community is coming under pressure from Big Government and Big Business. The Christian Democratic Party is the values-based party that will defend the interests of locals concerning issues such as building over-development, coal seam gas mining and the building of mosques.<\/p>\n<p>We believe that political decisions should be made on most local level, so that the interests of the local community affected are properly represented.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATIC PARTY (CDP) is Australia\u2019s only registered national Christian political party.
