Damien Giurco is an expert in resource sustainability. He has spent the past several years at the University of Technology as a Professor of Resource Futures and team leader for the research areas of Resources and Energy.
He recently headed up the Wealth from Waste program (a leading CSIRO Cluster), which sought to find pathways to creating wealth from waste containing metals. The 36 month, $9m program partnered with institutions including Yale University. Additionally, Damien has spent much of his time working closely with clients in the public and private sectors in waste, energy, minerals and water, to build toward sustainable futures.
At #GIF17, Damien will be delivering a keynote on reinventing production and consumption through the circular economy, and will also be taking part in the sustainability and global health panel.
