A Cross-cultural Consultant, Tasneem was recently listed as “One of 16 Women To Watch in 2016″ by Latte magazine. In previous years she has been listed in The Age Magazine’s Top 100 most influential ‘Movers and Shakers’ in Melbourne and The Australian Magazines ‘Top Ten thinkers’.
Through her consultancy, Tasneem tailors sessions on cultural competence across the private and public sector.
She is a Director on the Board of Ambulance Victoria, and Chair of Lentil As Anything and the Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights. She is also Senior Curator at the Islamic Museum of Australia.
A TEDxMelbourne presenter and writer, Tasneem’s latest paper was the Griffith Journal for Law & Human Dignity’s, ‘Burqas, Bombs and Bogeymen’ highlighting media bias of Australia Muslims.
She has a Masters in International Development and background in psychology and has worked in community development and politics over the past two decades.
Tasneem has appeared in numerous editorial outlets, including The Guardian, The Age and The Australian and has featured as a commentator on Q&A, The Drum, The Project and national radio.
